S'mores Gin Rummy: A Sweet Twist on a Classic Card Game

What You'll Need:

- Two standard 52-card decks (without jokers)

- A craving for s'mores and strategy!

Objective:

Be the first player to score over 100 points across multiple rounds by forming sets and runs with the cards in your hand.

How to Play:

1. Setting Up:

   - Spread out the decks and let each player draw a card. The player with the highest card becomes the dealer and deals 10 cards to each player.

   - Place the remaining cards face down in the center as the stock pile, and turn the top card face up beside it to start the discard pile.

2. Starting the Round:

   - The non-dealing player starts the round and has the option to pick up the top card from the discard pile. If they don't want it, they pass.

   - If the first player passes, the dealer can choose to take the card. If they also pass, the first player picks up a card from the stock pile.

   - The round continues with players taking turns picking up cards and discarding until someone knocks or declares Gin.

3. Forming Sets and Runs:

   - Players aim to form sets of three or more cards of the same rank or runs of consecutive cards in the same suit.

   - Aces can be combined with deuces but not with kings. Players can also choose to fold if their unmatched cards total 10 points or less.

4. Declaring Gin or Knocking:

   - If a player manages to lay down all their cards in sets or runs, they declare Gin and end the round.

   - Otherwise, a player can knock, signaling the end of the round and revealing their sets and runs.

5. Scoring:

   - If a player declares Gin, they score 20 points plus the value of their opponent's unmatched cards.

   - If the knocker wins, they score the difference in unmatched card values. If the opponent wins, they score 10 points plus the difference.

   - Keep track of points across multiple rounds, aiming to be the first to score over 100 points to win the game!
